The world is full of mysteries!

This post might be way different than usual ones.

I just thought that this world is such a big place. Humans have developed a lot. They first started fire using stones and wood, made weapons, discovered coal, wheel and many other such milestones happened which lead is to where we are now.

This world has many things in it. Nature has put everything hidden and wants us to find it using our intelligence. I think this maybe true: "Everything exists" because humans have not even found 20% of what actually is hidden in this mysterious earth.

Nature wants us to explore it, discover and enhance every creature's life. Thomas Alva Edison hasn't come up with the idea of making a bulb all by himself. It was someone else who thought of it and Edison later developed it. That means, if you want to contribute to the development, you need not come up with your own idea. You can develop some unsorted theories and make the world a better place to live in like inventing pollution free vehicles and discovering other sources of energy and life forms. We humas know more about outer space than we do about our oceans.

Like how many of you guys know about these things? (Ahh...nature's so perfect and mysterious!!)

1. Fire Rainbow

A summertime occurrence, fire rainbows appear when sunlight hits frozen ice crystals in high-altitude cirrus clouds. Since the arc requires both the presence of cirrus clouds and for the sun to be extremely high in the sky, it's much more likely to be seen at latitudes closer to the equator.

2. Glowing mushrooms a.k.a Foxfire

During the late summer a faint glow can be seen in forests around the world, where bioluminescent mushrooms grow on moist, rotting bark. The greatest diversity of foxfire occurs in the tropics, where moist forests encourage fungal growth.

3. Glowing sea a.k.a electric blue sea

This is actually a bioluminescent bloom and it's the result of a mass of naturally glowing plankton washing up all at once on a single tide. The motion of the ocean agitates the bioluminescent plankton as it brings them to shore, causing the waves to flare to sudden, brilliant life.

That's all I wanted to share with you prodigies!

Happy Independence Day of India!

Bush wishes all the Indian citizens a wonderful 67th Independence Day. Celebrate your freedom!

India has become free from the bondage of British 67 years ago from today. All the national leaders have struggled and sacrificed their lives for the betterment and happiness of our motherland. We should not only be thankful to them but also try for the development of India. We should eradicate the evil in our society.
India is a vast land of natural resources. It has magnificent snow capped Himalayas to its north. The snowbroth forms the great rivers Ganga, Sutlej and Beas. To the south there is the gigantic Indian Ocean, to the west there is Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal gives us power from the east.
It is our lack of cognizance of properly using the Indian wealth. We shouldn't let this happen and try for the augmentation of righteousness in India.

(The above lines are spoken by Bushi!)

Well, I guess you could use the above paragraph as a simple speech on the eve of Independence Day.

Here is an DIY article written by me on wikiHow- http://www.wikihow.com/Make-Indian-Tri-Color-Bangles

One last thing. I made a plush doll for Bushi!

Have a wonderful day and make the best use of your elbowroom!

Wishes,
Bushi and Snigdha

"Happy Earth day" - Bushi wishes you!

Hello! Bushi and me are like "Whoa! Weeeeee! It is Earth day!". Bushi wanna ask you and plead you all to adopt an abandoned animal from shelters today. It is his humble request. Do this today as it is Earth day.

Let us paint the town "green!"

I wanted to share something with you all.

"Earth is our mother, save it" <--- a very old quote.

The real quote is

"We are Earth, don't harm ourselves".

If we hear any asteroid is hitting Earth, in our country, we are so tensed. As if something is happening to us and of course it is happening to us.
We are Earth. Earth is nothing without all the trees, animals, water, rocks, atmosphere etc. We are a part of it. Let us not harm ourselves. Let us stay safe and healthy.

Bushi, me, Hima, my mom and my dad are planting a sapling near our surroundings. What are you doing this auspicious day?

Let me help you. Here are things which you can do today.

Plant trees.

Make nature crafts at school or home. Get together with your family and build a birdhouse or make a bird feeder to encourage the local bird population, which plays an important role in every ecosystem.

Learn more about the environment. Earth Day is a good time to make a commitment to learning more about the environment and how you can help to protect it. Borrow some library books and read up on an issue such as pollution, endangered species, water shortages, recycling, and climate change. Or, learn about a region you've never considered before, like the Arctic, the deserts, or the rain forests. Think about the issues that concern you the most and if you haven't done so already, join a local group that undertakes activities to help protect the environment in your area.

Reduce, reuse and recycle all day long. Buy as little as possible and avoid items that come in lots of packaging. Support local growers and producers of food and products - these don't have to travel as far and so reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Take your drink container with you, and don't use any disposable plates or cutlery. Recycle all the things you do use for the day or find other uses for things that you no longer use. Carry a cloth bag for carrying things in and recycle your plastic bags.

Clean up litter. Rid litter from our roadways. Many groups use the weekend of Earth Day to clear roadways, highways and neighborhood streets of litter that has accumulated since the last clean-up day. Many companies donate gloves and bags for clean-up groups and villages organize bag pick ups. Once the group has collected the trash and placed the recycled bags along the road, get the village public works department to pick the bags up. It's a wonderful community project. Great for scout troops, rotary clubs and the like.

Here are some websites in which you can pledge and contribute to the betterment of us i.e earth <3

Bushi's cookery classes! Bake an eggless microwave cake.

Have you ever wondered that you could ever bake a sponge cake in a microwave that too egg-less? Okay, whatever, even if you wondered or not, here is that awesome recipe which is made by Bushi and me!

*It is a lot fun to do!*

Microwave sponge cake recipe-

Ingredients-

Baking soda - 2 teaspoons
Baking powder* optional - 2 teaspoons
Lemon juice - 1 teaspoon
All-purpose flour - 4 table spoons
Milk - 1 cup of 200ml
Granulated sugar or powered sugar- 2 table spoons
Oil* optional (only for smooth texture) - 1 teaspoon
Cocoa powder(if baking a chocolate cake) - 2 table spoons
Banana, papaya or any other fruit if baking a fruit cake - 1 fruit
Chocolate ice-cream, vanilla ice-cream, butterscotch ice cream if baking a ice cream flavored cake- 2 table spoons

Steps!!!

Step 1- Add sugar and milk in a bowl and stir well until completely dissolved.
Step 2- Add the cocoa powder (you can add fruits or ice creams here, too), all purpose flour and baking powder.
Step 3- Stir them well until you get a fine paste and it flows down loose. If it is not loose, you can always add a bit of milk.
Step 4- Add the baking soda **VERY IMPORTANT STEP!**
Step 5- Add oil if needed for good texture and stir well.
Step 6- **Another important step** Add lemon juice and mix very well and FAST. You should observe a bit of foam or a bit of batter raising.
Step 7- Pat the bowl on the surface to raise the air bubbles.
Step 8- Grease a microwave friendly pan with butter and put a wax paper at the sides and bottom.
Step 9- Transfer the batter into the microwave friendly dish.
Step 10- Microwave for 2-3 minutes under constant observation.
Step 11- Remove the cake after baking and let it sit for 10 minutes on a cooling rack.
Step 12- Add any icing of your choice or leave it plain.

Tip!! Bake two cakes and make a mixture of warm water and sugar and coat it on top of both cakes. On one of the cakes, spread chocolate syrup or anything of your choice(or even an ice cream). Attach both the cakes and you get a bigger and yummier cake!!

You are done baking your cake! Yayy! Time to taste and fill empty tummy :D

Hope it comes out well.

All this recipe is prepared by Bushi and me and is tried.

Came out really spongy and well. Careful while microwaving!

Good luck and until next time!

Bye-bye!

Cookery classes! Soft chocolate cookies.

Bushi is back with her cookery classes! Yay!! Let us see what she teaches us today.

Soft chocolate cookies!

Let's get started.

Ingredients-

100 g unsalted butter
450 g dark chocolate
4 eggs
340 g soft brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
170 g plain flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
450 g milk chocolate chip

Preparation-

Preheat oven to 170 C. Line a baking tray with non-stick baking parchment.

Place the butter and chopped dark chocolate in a bowl suspended over a pan of simmering water. When melted, remove from heat and allow to cool down.

Place the eggs, sugar and vanilla extract in a bowl and whisk until creamy.

Beat in melted chocolate and butter mixture, then beat in the flour, salt and baking powder.

Stir in the chocolate chip.

Use a tablespoon to place small heaps of mixture on the lined baking tray at least 5cm apart. Bake each tray for 10-15 mins until the cookies are still soft in the center and but set around the edge.

Allow the cookies to cool on baking tray for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Just a fact! Don't feed you cat or dog with chocolate. It is toxic to them!

Bye!
