Merry Christmas!!- Bushi wishes

Ho Ho Ho! Santa laughed and Bushi smiled. She is eager to get her gift. Even I'm eager for my gift.
Christmas is a 12 day celebration but as I should go to school, I can't celebrate. We had celebration in our school on 24th. It was not as cheeful as the last year's. I forgot my lines while singing song. Oh no!! What a shame! I however managed it.
 Bushi is wanting to wish you all "Merry Christmas!". Let us celebrate!

Bushi the little starts cooking classes!

Yea! Little Bushi agreed to start cooking classes! 



I am so excited. So lets start today's class with Cut out Biscuits!

Here's how to do them-

Ingredients-

225 gms butter

300 gms sugar

2 eggs (or egg substitute)

1 tsp vanilla extract

225 ml sour cream

625gms gram flour

2 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 ground nutmeg

Preparation-

In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar. Beat in the eggs (If you don't want eggs, add egg substitute), vanilla and soured cream. Combine the flour, baking powder, salt and nutmeg, stir into the creamed mixture until just blended. Dough will be light and sticky. Cover or wrap dough and chill overnight.

Preheat the oven to 180 C / Gas mark 4. On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough out to .25cm thickness. Cut into desired shapes using biscuit cutters. Place biscuits 2 to 3cm apart onto ungreased baking trays.

Bake in the preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes, until biscuits turn a very light brown. Remove from baking trays to cool on wire racks. Decorate with your favorite icing recipe if desired.
